Michael Burritt was named Lighthouse Employee of the Month for January 2015. This award is given to the Lighthouse employee that has gone “Above and Beyond” the call of duty. Mike joined Lighthouse in June 2010 and this is the 7th time he has earned this award. Mike started off the New Year right by earning a Silver Level Achievement Award in a typically slow month for staffing because we were coming off short weeks due to the Holidays. In Mike’s leadership role, he does a lot behind the scenes while still maintaining his own candidate pool. In January, he attended several on-site meetings at a major client and helped develop a large-scale hiring strategy. He can do this because he knows the technical disciplines of engineering and manufacturing recruitment and how they all fit together. This knowledge is essential when he is training new recruiters and prioritizing job orders. The management team of Lighthouse Placement Services has recognized Mike’s strong technical acumen and his leadership abilities over the past year and we are proud to announce that Mike Burritt has earned the title of Recruiting Manager. He will now be responsible for hiring and training new recruiters, candidate quality and delivery, and candidate pipeline development in addition to maintaining the Mechanical Engineering and Design disciplines. We are so proud of Mike and how far he’s come in his development. In June, he will celebrate his 5 year anniversary with Lighthouse and he has never stopped learning and growing.
