Job Overview:

Technicians will perform the following activities to as part of a larger security process to help with the remediation of BYOD devices and Phones:

§  Receive formal training from staff on specific processes and procedures

§  Receive laptops and other BYOD devices (as specified) at designated working areas located in Boston

§  Follow a designed scripted process to update the devices to conform with the designated security posture, typical activities include:

o   Verifying installed software

o   Verifying patches

o   Installation of required software and agents

§  Maintain of physical list or inventory application of devices remediated

§  Secure device until user collection

§  Follow predefined process for users to retrieve their mobile devices once remediation is complete



Minimum 1 year experience in information technology or technical support

Extensive familiarity with Windows, Android phone , and Apple IOS phone operating systems

CompTIA A+ certification a plus

Candidate  must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Having interpersonal skills allows this specialist to communicate with customers and solve technical-related problems quickly and efficiently:

Ability to work well with Customers

Ability to articulate directions to Customers

Walk customers through the process of installing the software on their machines and starting up the program for the first time

Excellent verbal / written communication and analytical skills with high attention to detail

Modify and customize software programs for internal needs

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Maximizes use of hardware and software by training users; interpreting instructions; answering questions

Maintains historical records by documenting hardware and software changes and revisions

Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed



Knowledge of the software installation process  for Windows Operating system(s) (WinXP, Win7, Win10)

Knowledge of the software installation process  Operating system(s) (OSX, IOS)

Knowledge of the software installation process for Android Operating system

  • Familiarity with MobileIron software a plus
