Job Description

Service Engineer / Technician

Versatile Engineering Technician with excellent attention to detail.  Must be self-sufficient in assembly, testing and documentation of test fixtures and various mechanical assemblies. Demonstrated ability to fabricate, build, and debug complex electro-mechanical assemblies. 


  • Work with several departments within the project to solve problems and find solutions
  • Assembly of electromechanical devices
  • Maintain a fleet of medical devices, including all relevant test equipment
  • Responsible for reading and understanding engineering drawings, bills of material, schematics and technical documentation
  • Test and inspect subassemblies
  • Basic mechanical and electrical theory and troubleshooting
  • Root cause analysis


  • Engineering degree (mechanical, electrical, biomedical, manufacturing) or associates degree with a hands on mechanical or manufacturing emphasis
  • Entry level to 2 years experience (with bachelor’s degree in engineering) or minimum of 2 years hands-on mechanical or manufacturing experience (with associates degree). 
  • Ability to diagnose problems and see the solutions through to completion
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand, and explain mechanical devices, and make improvements required
  • Hands-on experience with common tools and software
  • Software experience must include the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
