Second Shift Administrator 

Primary Objectives of the Second Shift Administrator

Primary Responsibilities of the Second Shift Administrator

  • Direct, Plan, Coordinate and Control the efficient use of manpower, machines, material and space to effectively staff and accomplish the work to meet shift scheduling goals, reduce eliminate scrap and rework
  • Ensure assigned objectives are achieved across all operational metrics (Safety, Quality, Productivity, and On Time Delivery)
  • Promote a clean and safe work environment for all employees through implementation and maintenance of company directed 5S and safety programs, compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements, and promotion of a strong safety culture
  • Promote a zero defect quality culture.  Minimize the cost of poor quality including customer disruption due to poor quality product.
  • Administer plant policies in a firm, fair and consistent manner
  • Promote cross-training and continuous improvement for all employees to provide a greater depth of knowledge for each employee and create more flexibility in staffing
  • Attend daily production/planning meetings
  • Ensure proper reporting & analyzing of data necessary to track and improve the performance against all assigned objectives
  • Responsible for the security of the facility
  • Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding
  • Drive productivity by eliminating waste through implementation of Lean tools and processes, driving a continuous improvement culture, and promoting employee engagement at all levels of the plant
  • Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among shift members that allows for disagreement over ideas, conflict and expeditious conflict resolution, and the appreciation of diversity as well as cohesiveness, supportiveness, and working effectively together to enable each employee and the shift to succeed

Job Experience Preferred

  • Associates degree in Business Management or related technology field
  • Familiar with an MRP system (E2)
  • Minimum 5-7 year’s experience supervising
  • Supervising a minimum of 20 people
  • Technical background with semiconductor experience or equivalent
  • IPC training
  • Lean manufacturing training
  • 5S training
