Summary The Production Planner is responsible for the planning and execution of production requirements to meet on-time delivery schedules. The position is responsible for all material requirements within the production cell, which includes production prioritization, WIP and cost management; and expediting and communicating material availability requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develop planning parameters within the ERP system for the production cell.
Timely release and completion of Work Orders to support the Master Build Plan & customer delivery commitments.
Manage and communicate the WIP priorities to support capacity constraints and on-time delivery.
Analyze Work Order cost variances with timely resolution.
Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the integrity of WIP inventory.
Expedite and communicate component shortages to resolve material availability constraints.
Effectively implements and communicates ECO activity within the production cell.
Perform material analysis using advance-planning systems for expedited delivery requests.
Review inventory for excess & obsolete and executes approved recommendations.
Support all Aftermarket manufacturing requirements within the cell to support on-time delivery.
Manage customer configuration and incorporate any change within the production cell.
Follow all ISO documented procedures and make recommendations to improve processes.
Develop feedback required to establish future forecast for MDR requirements.
Coordinate the implementation of all Machine Rush Planning for customer SOs with the cell.
Responsible for meeting department performance objectives.
Analyze demand/usage and recommend stock or forecast requirements.
Coordinate critical parts for return authorization.
Develop and communicate reports as required.
Support all material management activity during assigned shift.
Manage manufacturing inventory and planning parameters; and solve material availability issues.

Education and/or Experience
Associate/Bachelor's degree from a two/four-year college or university and 3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
APICS Certification desirable
Other Skills and Abilities
Ability to read, write, comprehend and speak English sufficiently well to perform job functions.
Experience with an integrated ERP system (Glovia a plus).
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint & Access desirable).
Knowledge of advance planning tools (Kinaxis and Servigistics Software a plus).
Must be able to work over-time as required.
