Job Description


Mechanical Inspector

Job Description:

  • Experience inspecting machined parts is a must. 
  • Perform inspection and reporting of incoming product/subassemblies to configuration and requirements as specified in documentation
  • Perform consignment kit audits
  • Sort and report rejected material
  • Enter inspection and audit information into required database
  • Maintain records using PC and Oracle ERP
  • File incoming component device history records
  • Initiate Non-Conformance reports (Material Rejection Notices) as required
  • Perform first article inspections to support the component qualification process
  • Read and interpret specifications and part prints
  • Ensure that all products have been tested and fall within standards, measured to specifications and within tolerances, readability of labels, etc.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned
  • Some inspection performed under a microscope
  • Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations


Minimum/Basic Job Qualifications (skills, work experience, education/credentials):

  • Knowledge of AS9100 specs is preferred
  • Experience working with rf microelectronics is a plus
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2000
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player
  • Ability to exercise judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work with little instruction on daily work in a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to plan and perform highly precise measurements and inspections to assure compliance to ISO9001/13485 and customer requirements
  • Strong computer skills
