Job Description

ELECTROMECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities

  • Applies advanced skills to wire, assemble, test, troubleshoot and debug electromechanical assemblies
  • Works from samples, visual aids, wiring lists, planning documents or oral and written instructions
  • Perform R&D assignments, conducts precision measurements and works with close tolerances
  • Mechanical aptitude, electrical aptitude, good understanding of schematic reading and strong soldering skills
  • Monitor calibrated equipment and inventory levels required for system builds
  • Ability to inspect mechanical parts
  • Familiar with hand tools for assembly
  • Provide input for continuous improvement

Education

  • Associates in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering preferred not required

Experience

  • 5-10 years of experience in the design, test & certification of military grade electromechanical devices
  • J-STD-001 solder certification including the Space Addendum Module is required
  • Experience in a clean room environment preferred
